a range of topics related to jazz ensemble performance and composition.

Ensemble Coaching
There are several experienced band directors and ensemble coaches within the band that can provide guidance for your group. Plus, they are nice guys.
Improvisation Coaching
There are many excellent and experienced soloists in the band and they can demonstrate techniques and approaches to delivering a good solo in various contexts. This can cover understanding chord changes, time, feel, and shaping a solo.
Rhythm Section Coaching
How to play together. Different styles – swing (slow and fast). Latin styles, odd meters. Switching from one style to another and keeping steady time. Balance. Feel.
Composing and Arranging
JK could meet with composers and arrangers a month or so before the visit to get them started and then their charts could be played by the JKO or your band. The JKO has done this frequently for students at Cornish College in Seattle, and are supportive of the students' efforts and have a lot of helpful advice.
